Cold sores result when the herpes simplex virus (HSV-1) becomes active and replicates itself. The virus will have previously infected the site where the symptoms become evident and, when the body is run down or under stress, the virus becomes active, producing the symptoms that we recognize as cold sores. 

Cold Sore Relief has been used successfully on shingles, canker sores (mouth ulcers) and hives. 

100% natural and safe; no dangerous petro-chemicals, parabens, glycol, silicone, or other synthetics. 

At the first sign of cold sore symptoms (tingling, burning or itching), place 1-2 drops on the finger tip and apply to the affected area 3 or 4 times daily.
Repeat after meals, at bedtime and on waking until no sign of the sore remains.

For fully developed sores, use 1 or 2 drops several times a day until no sign remains.

To help prevent outbreaks, apply one drop to area of previous sores two or three times a week.

Cold Sore Relief must be absorbed into the skin to work effectively, so before applying, use a good cleanser to thoroughly wash the affected area.

Petroleum-based products prevent Cold Sore Relief from working by blocking the skin pores.

If you find that the skin continues to remain oily for more than a few minutes after applying, thoroughly cleanse the area again and re-apply.

Use during pregnancy: 
There is no research evidence indicating any problems associated with the use of any ingredients in Necessity Cold Sore Relief when used during pregnancy in the amounts used in the formula.
