Digestive Aid

These leaves are especially useful in many digestive conditions and for skin disorders. Papaya leaf tea benefits the digestive system by using the soothing action of proteolytic enzymes to reduce the inflammation of the stomach lining. Paw Paw leaf tea is high in Vitamins A, B, E and C, zinc, manganese, iron, magnesium, calcium and potassium.

Traditionally, papaya leaf tea has been used to treat indigestion, gas, bloating or heartburn, parasites, and new studies show that it may help those suffering from gluten intolerance.

External Uses Paw paw leaf tea may be used as a remedy for skin conditions and treat fungal infections on the skin with its antiviral and antibacterial properties.

Pour 1 cup boiling water over fresh or dried Paw Paw leaves, cover, and allow the tea to cool to room temperature.

Once cooled, strain out leaves and reserve the remaining liquid.

Create a skin wipe or compress by soaking a clean cloth or use cotton wipes/balls in the herbal infusion and placing it on the skin.

This process is gentle and may be repeated several times a day.
